Is this the start of your game? Or only random gameplay? I really like how you did the event of the battles That was a random gameplay. I just created 2 new maps, and switched the party start location to that new map. Although the scene will likely be changed from the final ''product'' it will likely ressemble somethin' like that. Oh, and the bosses will be less powerful (I mean, really, oneshoting almost the entire party et level 50?)

I already thought so, or else it would be a really hard game I think (is also fun ), even the random encounter almost killed one of your characters with one hit. But like I said. I really liked how the event has been created, I guess this isn't your first time using RPG Maker?

I never created a full RPG, but I've been trying to use RPG maker for at least 9 years now.

And now, a third round of possible/confirmed music for my RPG. Again, feel free to comment, even those I plan on using, no matter what The legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (GC and Wii)Hidden Village (If I make that whole old-west themed chapter, I was thiking of making a mercenary village of sort. So I though of this song ) Ordon Village This will likely be either one of the early village, or that obligatory optional village in the middle of nowhere, where nothing special happens (After all, this game IS going to have 26 villages, I can't make all of them mandatory, now can I?)) Kakariko Village I will only add this if I make the old west themed chapter. Otherwise, I won't use that one. Super Mario RPG: Legend of the seven Stars (SNES)Forest Maze (Come on! I know you expected this one to show up someday. Obviously, I will use it for a forest, or any sort of mysteious place) Final Fantasy IX (PS1)Protecting my Devotion (I might make one of tthose event whhere you fight multiple ''random'' monsters in a row, to defend a city. If I make such event, this will be the snog that play during those events.) Hunter's chance (I always though this would fit the 26 guardians' battle, since the day I had the idea of making said 26 guardians. It'll be very hard to change my mind on this one, lol) You're not Alone! (This link was poorly looped, but you get the general idea of the song. This is my favourite (and generally recognised as the best song) of the game. I think I can set up an event in the game using this song. I'll see.) Amarant's theme (If you watched the tech demo, you probably already know about Conrad.I might use that song for his theme. Obviously, he won't ALWAYS be with Nadia!) Final Fantasy VIII (PS1 and PC)Only a Plank Between One and Perdition extended (I will definitely use theme when the party has to flee from something ) Force Your Way One of the possible Boss battle theme. Will likely use it if I do NOT use ''Battle With Demons'' as the normal battle theme. Although I may use it for the Prologue's final boss battle. Final Fantasy VII (PS1 and PC)Judgement Day (Will be used for one of the parts of my Final Dungeon( Again, the title fit very well, since the last dungeon is going to be called ''The end of time'')) Cosmo Canyon (Will be used for one of the many Towns) Birth of a God (Bizaro-Sephiroth's battle theme If I make enough superbosses, I will use this one for one of theme) J-E-N-O-V-A (Will likely use it as a chapter's final boss, only if it has at least 2 form, in whict I'll also use Jenova Absolute.) Jenova Absolute (See above) Sending a Dream into the Universe (If I use this FF's CId's theme, then I will liekly also use this one for a Cid related event.) Cid's theme (Although FFVII isn't my favourite FF, it's Cid theme is my favourite one, and will likely be my game's Cid theme ( However, don't expect my Cid to be as badass as FFVII's)) Weapon Raid (This will be for later, more intence scene. Those scenes will likely only occur after the twisting of the flow of time) Final Fantasy VI (SNES and PS1)Metamorphosis (THIS will be the scene when everythings fuck up because the flow of time is getting ''twisted'' >=D No way you can change my mind on this one ;-) ) Edgar and Sabin (LIekly one of the ally (but not party member)'s theme.) Shadow's theme (Same as above) Cyan's theme (Same as the above two songs.) The Day after (This will be heard after the twisting of the flow of time.) Something will happens between the game's timeline and the time you go to a certain village (which will be warped to the future) That said village will be almost destroyed by said event, which will result in this song) Dark World (AFTER you beat the main villain, her inability to control time will cause rift in space. Those rift will be in certain villages/world map locations) and will lead you to totally diferent timeline. Each of those timeline will allow you to wander into parts of the world map. This will likely be used if I make an Ice age of sorts) Done for now... Also, I'm probably going to start another tech demo, this time, involving a village, to see how it would look like Oh, and yoyu'll get to see part of the world map as well =D

I can only suggest you download the albums of The Black Mages. They have 3 in all and performed a majority of the songs for the Final Fantasy series.

I can only suggest you download the albums of The Black Mages. They have 3 in all and performed a majority of the songs for the Final Fantasy series. I know about them, and listened to many songs of the first two almbum. And honnestly, I don't like their style. Thanks for the suggestion though. And another round of song I migh/will use. The song I will post today are song I was planning to link when I fitrst created this topic, but I sent so many links that I forgot about some games/songs... so here we go! Final Fantasy XI Online (PS2, PC, Xbox 360)The Kingdom of San d'Oria (Obviously, this will be used for one of the larger cities, if I use it.) Longfall (Ronfaure) Considering the first few locations will be on a year-long winter island, I though this wong would be surprisingly fitting for a snowy plain. Otherwaise, just an early, simple dungeon could have this song as well. While I dunno exactly where to put it, there's a 100% chance that I'm going to use it. Male Tarutaru Call me biased, but Tarutarues (especially males) were my absolute favourite race in this game. Their theme would easily fit if I include a young child as one of the main characters (either controllable or an important ally) Digimon World 3 (PS1)Bug Maze If I include an area that gets ''warped'' into distant future, of course a futuristic sound for a dungeon is a must Galacticmon Battle 1 With the above possibility, and considering most of the ''warped'' locations will be optional, I though of a special theme for that side-quest's superboss. Don't worry, I though of everything. This boss (should I make it) WILL have 2 forms so yes, Galacticmon Battle 2 will be used! Galacticmon Battle 2 See above. One of the most eic final battle theme of the entire series. Megaman 5 (NES)Wily Capsule (remix) Not the best remix ever, but you get the idea. Megaman 5 had an awesome final battle theme... and I was pleasently surprised when I first heard it. It's so... I dunno, JRPG-sounding? Megaman 9 (Wii, PS3, Xbox360)Wily Capsule (If I can find a decent remix of this song, I might use it as one of the early chapter's final boss) We're the Robots I'm aware that there are quite a lot of good remix of this particular song. I don't know which one to use, so just to give the general Idea, I'm sticking with the original version for this, though I will use a remix for the final game, should I even use it. Megaman 7 (SNES)Boss battle theme Laugh at me as much as you want: I'm seriously considering putting this as the normal battle theme. The begining gives that ''hey something's attacking you'' feel that FF 1-6 and 9 gave me. Megaman X5 (PS1) X vs Zero Like I said about the Boss battle theme of DW2, I'm not to into techno stuff for something that will look like a JRPG... but I might make an exception for this one, and should I do an exception, this will be the normal boss battle theme. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (GBA,DS,Wii,iOS)Jake Marshal's theme - Detective from the Wild West Again, this song might be used but only as a character theme, and only if the character is from or is involved with one of the possible cities in that old west themed section of teh game. Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles EdgeworthKay Faraday - The Great Theif Burglar. THIS will be one of the four main character's theme. Pursuit - Lying Coldly Another of the possible normal boss battle. Actually, this is the most likely to be used. not 100% sure, but most likely. I guess that's all for now...

And another round os possible song usage! As well as some more ideas (later on this post) Pokemon Black (DS)Battle! VS Reshiram (I'm using the Reshiram song here, but Zekrom and Kyurem's versions are likely going to be used as well. I'm considering using this one for the 26 optional bosses, considering in both cases (The Reshiram/Zekrom battle and the 26 optional bosses series) Are both ''tests'' to the player, I though it would be fitting.) Final Fantasy XII (PS2)Ozmone Plains (Shame that FFXII doesn't have that many memorable songs, since I love the game. Obviously, this is going to be used in one of those plains... as the name of the song itself suggests) Eeyup. Short list this ttime. Didn't feel like gettin' more links. Anyways, up for my idea. I was thinking of doing something about the 26 bosses. You will have to fight them in order (the one that begins with the letter A first, then the one with B all the way to Z) Basicly, you WILL have access to the A boss fairly early in the game (less than halfway trhouigh the game) But to ''troll'' players, even though it'll only have 10k HP, I though of making it at least as brutal as the final boss (who will, around 100 000 to 150 000 HP if we combine all 3 forms) How'd you like that?

Just one song this time, and some nes as well! The game's preparation are going VERY well. I'm almost done with the spells. I'll have to do the items (which will take very little time to do!) The the story. The world map's ''shape'' is cimpleted, as well as most of the first island of the game. The first few villages are also completed. And now, for the single song of this post! Professor Layton and the Last Specter (DS)Black Market (I actually got the game last Thursday, and reached that area last night. And I was struck with awesomeness. I was thinking of actually making a Black Market in the game myself. With rare, but extremely expencive items.) Obviously, with the above statement. It means that I'll actually NEED an idea: Where the fudge should I put the black market. I know I won't put it in any of the major cities, and most likely not in the optional towns. I want it to be part of the story at some point. So... what kind of town should have the Black market? -Desert town (The classic town with lots of merchants) -Poor town -Small, calm village -An unexpected village (Where villager denies the obvious fact that there is something going on here)

The Black Market is always in a desert town in other games, so I wouldn't do that one. A poor town would work I think, where the merchants have stolen their supplies from the rich people (... just an idea ) I also like a small, calm village. You could make the village hard to find so that it will be rewarding when you can finally buy the rare equipment

About your last, I said I wanted the black market to actually be part of the main story... so I'd need it to be in a not so hard to find village. I really love your second idea though. =D

Glad you like the idea No probs! This thread was partly ,ade so you could help me with ideas. Also. Another song that I will definitely use. Professor Layton and the Last SpecterFinal Battle This will definitely be used for one of the later bosses... perhaps the final battle againts Conrad, or maybe just a boss you have to defeat quickly?

Man... I really have to play that game too, even if it's only for the music. BTW. Are you going to release a demo? Because I would really like to see the game The Prof Layton game are really good for it's gameplay and music. The story, however is usually pretty mediocre, save for Unwound Future (IMO) Also, I may release a demo soon, when I'm truly done with the items, and after I complete a couple of boss. I will likely make a demo once I'm done with the prologue. In other words, the prologue you will see will be the ''final product'' unlike the tech demo.
