-Vladimir: My parents were almost always away when I was younger, I grew without friends as well, which is why I might seem unfriendly. I do wish to change that though. That is one reason I joined Digimon World Online.
-Gaomon: Don't worry, I know you'll be the best friend anyone could ever have in no time!
-Vladimir: I guess so...
-Troy: So where is this Steem Mountain we're looking for?
-Gloria: Acording to the player guide I bough a while ago, It's far to the north. It could take at least a week to get there. The closest area we have to trave trhough is the Gigabit Plains. Wo oh...
-François: What's wrong Gloria?
-Gloria: Hum... the first boss of the game lurks there... and it's the only way to go trhough the next area if we wanty to go to Steem Mountain.
-Lunamon: And who is this boss?
-Gloria: It's a Peckmon. However, being a boss Digimon, he has twice the Stamina, and strenght than any normal Digimon. The level you are now, there's little hope of beating him. I just checked my guide again, and he it 5 times stronger than the Drimogemon you guys defeated earlier. It's going to be impossible to win as eaisly, unless at least one of you Digivolve in a Champion digimon.
-Lunamon: And we only recently digivolved into rookies... we can't possibly digivolve already.
-Coronamon: Yeah, our level is probably a bit too low.
-Chanook: Maybe we should move now? I'd really like to see this treasure.
-Vladimir: I suggest we let Gloria lead the way. She does have the player guide after all...
-François: I agree.
-Gloria: Well... if you want me to lead the way... follow me!
The group followed Gloria trhough the Gigabit plains. As the player guide said, there are barely any wil Digimon in that area. Only small-fry in training digimons that could be even defeated by Chanook's punches. They were near the entrance for the next area when suddenly, wind began to blow. However, this wind was not normal. They felt like this wind was made by something that ran really fast just by them. Suddenly, a voice could be heard.

: Hahahaha! You are on my territory! Get out, and no harm will befall you. Ignore my warning, and face the consequences.
-Gloria: This has got to be Peckmon.
-Peckmon: How did you know it was I who spoke to you?
-Gloria: Well, for startes, my player guide helps a lot.
Peckmon finally decided to show up.
-Peckmon: Then I take it you intend to go trhough here and go to Data Jungle?
-Vladimir: That is indeed our goal
-Nodoka: Could you please let us pass?
-Peckmon: No way! This is my territory, and I've got to protect it, no matter what!
-Troy: If you wanna fight, let's fight! Ready, Lunamon?
-Lunamon: You bet! Peckmon, get ready to fight!
-Veemon: Let me join you!
-Lunamon: Thanks Veemon.
-Peckmon: Do you honnestly think you two can defeat me?
-Lunamon: I beleive in Veemon, Veemon beleives in me. Teamwork can beat everything! DARK CRUSHER!
Lunamon attacked using it's Dark Crusher, while Veemon tried to distract Peckmon using it's Vee Heabutt. Both attacks were quite succesfull
-Peckmon: Arrgh, you little... I see you are not to be underestimated. However, how about I use my own dirty tricks?
Peckmon looks at Troy
-Peckmon: You will make a nice shield...
-Troy: What?
Peckmon leaped at Troy, and grabed him from behind using it's high speed and huge beak.
-Peckmon: Not laughing now are we?
-Lunamon: You little...
-Peckmon: Now if you don't want him to suffer, you gotta fight one-on-one! If you don't, I can't guaranty your tamer's safety!
-Veemon: That's cheap! You monster!
-Lunamon: It's ok. I will fight him
-Gloria: But Lunamon, you can't defeat him alone!
-Lunamon: Don't worry, Gloria, your brother is my tamer, it is I who needs to protect him...
-Gloria: ...
-Peckmon: Haaa, so you do accept my challenge...
-Lunamon: Yes, and you gotta respect your end of the deal, let Troy go...
-Peckmon: Oh, but I will...
Peckmon drops Troy, but before Troy could leave, Peckmon hits him hard on the back. Troy lost consiosness...
-Lunamon: HOW COULD YOU!?
-Peckmon: I said I'd let him go. I never said I wouldn't hurt him a bit...
-Lunamon: You will pay for that! HYDRO WATER!
-Peckmon: Do you really think you can beat me at this level? Try to avoid this: FEATHER SHOT!
Lunamon couldn't avoid this fast attack. Lunamon was lying on the ground, at Peckmon's Mercy Before Peckmon crushed Lunamon with it's feet...
-Peckmon: Any last requests?
-Lunamon: Yes... Let's fight again... this time... you WILL PAY!
Lunamon's body began to glow...
-Lunamon: You used your dirty tricks, you hurt my tamer, I will never forgive you
-Peckmon: what's... happening?
-Lunamon: LUNAMON DIGIVOLVE TO... *cue digivolution scene* LESKIMON!
Lunamon has reached the Champion level, Leskimon
Leskimon: Now we will battle fair and square.
