The group was well asleep. In case they get attacked, they decided to have someone to stay awake, while they switch every 2 hours. The first person to look around was François (and Veemon) Nothing happened during his turn. Next, it was Vladimir's turn. He woke up several minutes before his shift started, and had a chat with François
-Vladimir: It's kind of peacefull here, concidering we are in the middle of a jungle
-François: You're right. It's almost... too quiet.
-Vladimir: Eh... worried, are you?
-François: That's not it, but it just feels like these TV shows where things go for the worst when it's THAT quiet.
-Vladimir: I understand. Look, it's my turn now to look on things. Just wait for me to wake Gaomon up, I'll be back in a minute
-François: Ok! Good night Vladimir!
-Vladimir: Good night to you too.
Vladimir woke Goamon up, like he said, and took François' place as the ''guardian'' of the group. It was as François said: so quiet that it's literraly creepy. Nothing Special happaned on the first hour. However, during the second hour... Some noise could be heard. It did not wake up the group, but it did alert Vladimir and Gaomon.
-Gaomon: Did you hear that?
-Vladimir: I sure did...
-Goamon: Should we investigate? That noise didn't come from too far.
-Vladimir: But what about the group?
-Gaomon: If this involves a battle, the group will be in danger if it takes place here.
-Vladimir: ... you are right. Let's go Gaomon,
Vladimir and Gaomon left the group to investigate. While they were gone, Chanook (and Lalamon) woke up for their turn. They both notices thet Vladimir and Gaomon are gone
-Chanook: ... Where is Vladimir? He was supposed to be on guard until now!
-Lalamon: Do you think... they ran off?
-Chanook: I hardly think so. I doubt they ran off on their own. Gaomon doesn't have the power to digivolve into champion yet...
-Lalamon: Wait, did you hear that?
-Chanook: Hear what?
-Lalamon: Oh, right, sorry, I forgot you can't hear things using your feet.
-Chanook: Figures, you're a plant, I'm human.
-Lalamon: It's from over there! Follow me!
-Chanook: Wait! Before we leave, tell me what's going on!
-Lalamon: Vladimir and Gaomon are in trouble!
-Chanook: Are you sure? Well then, let's help them. Lead the way Lalamon
Chanook followed Lalamon to the place where she heard Gaomon and Vladimir in trouble. Vladimir and Gaomon were trapped in a huge Spider Web. There was something huge behind that web. It looked like a giant spider.
-Chanook: I know this one... I think... I think it's Dokugumon! Yeah, Dokugumon! He's probably the boss of this area.
-Lalamon: We have to save Vladimir and Gaomon
-Gaomon: No! You have to get out of here! Dokugumon is way too strong!
-Vladimir: He's right... you need to leave.
-Dokugumon: Ohhh what do I see there? Another dessert? Looks tasty... Come here tasty little flower!
-Lalamon: Don't count on it! SEED SHOT!
The attacks lands on Dokugumon, but thios only angers him
-Dokugumon: How dare you! I you pay for this!
Dokugumon shoots some spider web at Lalamon. Now completely unable to move, she apologies to Chanook
-Lalamon: Sorry Chanook. I can't move.
-Vladimir: Chanook! Take Lalamon and get away!
-Chanook: And leaving you two get eaten by this oversized spider? No thanks!
-Gaomon: Don't worry about us! Just go!
-Chanook: No I won't!
-Gaomon: Chanook! Don't be stupid! Lalamon can't move! And we can't either. If you really want to help us, get away from here, and get some help!
-Chanook: But...
-Lalamon: No I won't get away either. I have an idea I can't move my body, but I can move my head. SEED SHOT!
Lalamon aimed at Gaomon. However, she didn't aim at him to hurt him, but to free him from the Spider web. Lalamon then shot at Vladimir to free him as well.
-Vladimir: Thanks for the save, but that was insane! You could have gotten killed by staying here!
-Chanook: What an ingrate. Lalamon just saved you, and you still get angry at me? What kind of friend are you? How were you even invited by my cousin in the guild?
-Vladimir: I'm sorry. It's just that I was always alone before I met you. I'm still not good with gratitude, and stuff
-Chanook: I guess I was carried away... Sorry Vladimir
As they both apologied, Both Lalamon and Gaomon's body began to shine
-Dokugumon: What's happeneing!?
-Chanook: Lalamon and Gaomon are...
-Vladimir: Digivolving?
-Chanook: So they weren't kidding when they said that teamwork can beat anything.
-Vladimir: it would seems so...
-Lalamon: Chanook, Vladimir... you finally see what's important in a guild in this world
-Gaomon: You learned something important. Now it's Dokugumon's turn to learn something.
-Gaomon: GAOMON DIGIVOLVE TOOO... *cue digivolution scene* GAOGAMON!
-Lalamon: LALAMON DIGIVOLVE TOOO... *Cue Digivolution scene* SUNFLOWMON!
-Dokugumon: Impossible!
-Sunflowmon: Yes, it is possible. Dokugumon, you can't possibly win againts the two of us!
-Gaogamon: Ready Sunflowmon?
-Sunflowmon: More than ever! CACTUS TAIL!
-Gaogamon: GAOGA HOUND!
-Dokugumon: Aww that hurts! Now it's mu turn! POISON THREAD
Both Gaogamon and Sunflowmon evades the attack.
-Dokugumon: What? Impossible!
-Gaogamon: Ohhh... You think we are as slow as before? I dind't know your intelligence level was this low. It's almost an insult you were even able to catch me before!
-Sunflowmon: Shall we finish this?
-Gaogamon: With pleasure!
-Sunflowmon: CACTUS TAIL!
-Gaogamon: DASH DOUBLE CLAW!
-Dokugumon: ARRRGH! You'll pay for this!
Dokugumon fled. He was nowhere to be seen. Chanook, Vladimir, Sunflowmon and Gaogamon searched form him for at least an hour without luck.
-Chanook: Dang, we can't find him.
-Vladimir: Don't worry, I don't think he will bother us again...
-Chanook: You're right... !!! Look at the time! It's almost Nodoka's turn to be on guard! We have to go back or she'll worry! Sunflowmon, Gaogamon, would you mind turning back to your rookie forms? I don't want the others to worry.
-Gaogamon and Sunflowmon: yeah, you're right *transform back to rookie*
The rest of the night was calm. Nothing happened on Nodoka's shift. It wa snow the morning. And everyone woke up to eat a breakfast. Gloria pulled out her player guide and started to talk about Data Jungle, and the next area: ROM Desert
-Gloria: The boss of this area is Dokugumon. He's supposed to be about as strong as Peckmon, but it's strengh lies in attacking when we least expect it. We should be careful
-Chanook: Don't worry about it. I don't think he will attack us.
-Gloria: What are you talking about
-Chanook: Oh nothing, just a feeling *looks at Vladimir and Winks*
-Gloria:
What, Chanook? Vladimir? You're hiding something! I know it!
-Vladimir and Chanook: No we are not. hehehe...
-Gloria: Stop that!
The trip trhough Data Jungle took almost 3 days. There was no sing of Dokugumon for the entire trip, thanks to Vladimir, Chanook and their Digimon.
